Sacred Heart Hall Rental Policy

Hall Fee:

The Sacred Heart Hall is available for use by Sacred Heart Parish Members. To help defer the expense and up keep of the facility, parishioners who use the hall are expected to make a donation to the church to cover utilities and other expenses. The donation is expected at the time of the reservation on the Hall. The classroom/education part of the Hall is not included in the Hall rental unless specifically approved for by Father. We ask that you or your guests DO NOT enter that part of the facility.

Please:

1. Do not leave any perishable food in the kitchen/refrigerator/freezer.

2. If you use any dishtowels, please wash and return them as soon as possible so that they will be ready for the next function.

3. Wash all dishes and/or pots and pans and return them to their proper places.

4. Do not remove any pots, pans, utensils, roasters, dishes etc.. from the hall

5. Carefully put away tables and chairs on their appropriate rack/carts. Please wipe off tables (and chairs) before stacking them away.

6. Clean all sinks, countertops and stove (if used)

7. Make sure there is nothing left in the microwave, oven, or warmer

8. Remove all decorations (including tape on walls)

9. Check all restrooms (Flush toilets, Sweep and Mop, and clean out trash can)

10. Sweep and Mop ALL Floors (hall floor, kitchen, hall-ways, side rooms etc.) Use the liquid floor soap provided in the janitor closet. Do not use Pine-Sol to clean the floors.

11. Turn AC/Heat thermostats to the appropriate setting for that season.

12. Empty all trash cans and store trash cans in the appropriate place. Make sure there will be no liquids that leak onto the floor.

Eligibility:

By decision of the parish Priest and the Parish Council, the Hall should only be used by registered Sacred Heart Parish members. The person/organization that reserves the Hall will be responsible for the donation, providing appropriate adult supervision, clean up, and repair of damages (if any) to the facility for that date(s) reserved.

Hall Priority:

Parish members who wish to use or rent the Hall must first have approval of that function by the Parish Priest and then check for Hall availability with Mary Ann Thomson. (965-2449)

Priority will be given on a first come basis.

In the event of any conflict, it would be proper etiquette for the two parties to work out the conflict between themselves. But of course, the Parish Priest and/or Parish Council will have the final decision on any conflict that can not be resolved.

Supervision:

Anyone who uses the Hall will be responsible for the appropriate supervision of guests and/or any children that may present at any time. He/She is also responsible for appropriate conduct of the people at the function.

Damages/Repairs:

Any damage that occur to the facility while the Hall is in use will be the responsibility of that person or organization to repair and/or pay for the damages.
