Sacred Heart offers religious education classes every
Wednesday at 7:00 pm during the school year to all youth,
preschool thru twelfth grades. Preschool registration is
usually in early August, and all other students register
the first night of classes. Registrations during the year
can be done any Wednesday night, or through the parish
office.
For information about class material and what your child
will learn every year and how that builds toward the next
year, visit the Faith First (our text book publisher) Scope
& Sequence at http://www.faithfirst.com/html/catechist/scopeSequence/scopeSequence.asp.
Our classes follow the Charleston School calendar in the
event the school is closed for holidays or bad weather,
there is also no religious education classes. Classes and
any special functions are noted in the weekly church
bulletin.
Our program also provides a Halloween Carnival, sacramental
gifts for all the children, Childrens Christmas Eve Mass
(followed by a play re-enacting the Birth of Christ),
Crowning of the May Queen, and a year-end skating party.

Anyone interested in becoming Catholic or desires to learn
more about the Catholic Faith, can do so through the RCIA
Program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). The
Catholic Church offers a series of religious classes to any
adult who would like to learn about Catholicism. If
interested, contact the RCIA director for more information.
